The definition of heirloom corn, made with Flint (indian) corn.  Milled in Pawcatuck, $3.99/pint..

Davis Farm is the oldest continually operating farm in Connecticut dating back to 1654, growing the same strain of corn Native Americans consumed 1000 years ago.

You may have known the farmer Whit Davis who used to sell his products at the Stonington Farmer's Market with his wife, Velora. His seeds are ancient heirloom seeds handed to Whit's ancestors by the native Americans themselves! Farmer Whit gave back those seeds to help replenish what was lost to many tribes from the Mohegan to the Navajo. It is not only historically and naturally important, it tastes delicious! And Whit, he is worth reading about!
